Mable & The Wood is a unique Metroidvania game where you track and defeat colossal beasts. Upon defeating these creatures, you gain the ability to shapeshift into their forms and wield their powers to either save or devastate the world. For those who prefer a less aggressive approach, the game offers hidden routes that allow players to complete the game without slaying any creatures, including the bosses. Distinct from typical Metroidvanias, Mable does not feature conventional running, jumping, or combat. Instead, you must navigate the game world and combat foes by transforming into various non-human forms. Resurrected by a mysterious cult that believes in an ancient prophecy, you are foretold to defeat great beasts and use their shapes and powers to rescue a dying world.
